Happy Holidays

Hey guys! Happy holidays! Yeah. It's that time of the year again when all is giving and sharing. Today's the last working day of the year for me. I'm sure that's for all too right? Sweet. :) Oh yeah, sorry if I was kinda've MIA-ing lately 'cause I was in a state where I just wanted to be alone for a moment. Haha! Yeah, super emotional as you can say it tho. So let all the dramas later on and let's do some catching up first. :D

So how was your Christmas? How did you celebrate it? Mine was something like an ordinary day. I grew up always waiting the clock to strike 12 midnight for the gift-giving/opening portion at home. Speaking of gift giving, man! And it was really hard looking to the right gifts to give for everyone. Sigh. It was like a super challenge for me and to think that I really did a last minute shopping. Lesson learn: Think ahead of time. Haha!

Okay, so going back to the holiday celebrations, while waiting for that gift givng ceremony, a family buffet is usually prepared as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. But this year was a little to different from the fam's Christmas norm. Last Christmas Eve the 24th, I went to work (How awesome my company is? Geez.. LOL) so I couldn't help prepare food at home, so I let daddy handle all the cooking for me. I asked him to prep up some Linguine Beef and Mushroom but to my surprise the forgot to buy the beef, which lead to a total FAIL! Sigh. I got home, like around 11pm and waited for an hour, instead of the festive buffet; my cousin just fried ham and brought out some cheese and some bread. I felt kinda sad actually. Sigh. But moving on, 12 midnight came! Yeheey! Time for exchanging gifts! XD

Oh boy! And did I receive a lot or what? Haha! I was a total child while we were exchanging gifts! Sigh. :) That was really fun, I hope everyday is Christmas. lol Later that day, I visited GMom, actually we were suppose to watch a movie then but the movie houses was really packed! So we just has lunch out and bought something.

Guys, do you remember my entry way back when I was with my Auntie Grumpy shopping and I was looking at the DC store but she got mad and walk out? And since AG (Auntie Grumpy) wasn't home I took all the liberty to swipe something. Haha!

And YES you are damn right about that, I finally bought something at DC! Woo!

Is it pixelated? Excuse me for that tho. Poor camera quality. Haha!

I like ya'll to meet my YM, no it's not yahoo messenger and definitely not young money but youth's mongrel. I am so happy to have it. I promise. It's like first love at first sight. Well, that all goes for my other shoes tho. Haha! As ya'll know, I am a self confess shoe freak. I really don't know why, but I just really have a thing for rubber shoes. :)

So yeah. As you all can see; it's a red, black, white and gray combo which makes it a lot nicer to done is shorts and jeans. It's also a low cut not like my other kicks that are ankle high at least this own give me a headache looking for the right socks that will save me from those ugly cuts. These babies costs me round $75 all in. Is that cheap? 'Cause in Philippine money it ain't. Hell! It was expensive! Haha! So far this is the priciest in my growing collection. And honestly, this is my first DC, ever too. Haha! What you think guys? You have a DC too? Can I see it?

Okay, so moving on with the drama. The year's about to end right? And usually Auntie Mi sends us a package every year, and this year I am so looking forward to see my Jeremy Scott designed American Wings 2.0 that she promised to hook me up.

BUT to my great surprise, I won't be having it anymore. :(( Because it was in the limited edition stock and every single pair is already out. I really, REALLY like theses shoes tho. I know, there are a lot of different style out there but sigh. How can I say this? The feeling is like, you love someone but you just can't be with that person for some hellish reason. Haha! Okay, I think I should stop right there. I am becoming to sound like a total drama princess. But still... Ow well.. That's life I guess, as they say "you can't have it all". Bummer.

Anyway, I now want a good pair of kick ass Jordans. Ah. Yes, the very famous Jordans shoes. And I'm pretty sure that most celebrities has some of these so maybe I too should have at least a pair. Haha! I've been eyeing some tho, like the Jordan 4 Retro Cavs and the Jordan Spizike.

Air Jordan 4 Retro Cavs

  Jordan Spizike

What I like about the J4Retro Cavs is the color. Really, it's so not easy to blend orange and blue together right? Just look at that, wow right? Fierce. :) And with the Spizike, it looks so street! And you know that I like it like that, really casual. lol So what you think guys? Which pair should I get? Or do you have any good pair that I can check out? Suggestions are so welcome. Thank you in advance. :)

"Be happy with what you have while aiming for what you want. Remember, a happy and successful like always starts with "Thank you Lord for everything"." Happy Holidays again babies! Be safe this coming new year. I wish ya'll all the prosperity and generosity this coming 2013 and I'm looking forward to talk to you soon.

ALWAYS, THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading. :)

Yes, excuse me for the face. XD

Before. During. After.

Hi guys! How have you been? I was suppose to write this last Monday but I was out cold. Like I said, I was not feeling well 'til Monday that I took half the day (well? something like that) off. I visited the doctor and said that my throat really sores that I can barely speak. Honestly, my tolerance for pain is rather high, so when I say that I can't take it any longer that really stings!

Okay, so enough of the health complains again. It's cool guys, no need to worry anymore, 'cause the doctor gave a whole bunch of medicine to drink. So in one week's time, I'm hoping to feel better. And they even said that idiots don't get sick. (confirm! I'm not one!) Haha!

Moving on, If you remember last week I was faced with a "huge" dilemma but I was able to cover up of it tho. Big thanks to some suggestions of friends and some celebs too that I googled and to my very own taste for boring clothing too. Haha!

First of, the company party was good! Set aside the place tho, it was like hell! It was really damn hot, so most of the time I was out of the venue for some "fresh" air. :) Good thinking that they warned me not to wear too much clothes and I did. Since it was like a company party I wore something formal yet so casual, and never did I put into mind the concept "dress to impress" but boy! Some of my colleagues really nailed it!

Like I said before, the company party is was like a mini fashion, so I kinda enjoy seeing my office mates wearing out of the usual clothes. So going back to what I wore. Haha! I'm such a killer. I'll show ya'll some picture that I've snapped a little later on.

Let's start with this red blouse. Like I said, I really wanted to wear something like a white one but I don't have much time to be looking around for another one. Well, that goes for every thing tho. Haha! So I paired it it wash off gray jeans and a cure little red belt too. Also, I wore a heart shaped pendant necklace and a nice pair of brown boots to complete the look. I took my hair down too but unfortunately the place was really hot I tied my hair braid or just the pony tail one.

I got the shoes from my Auntie Mi, she's my ever supportive aunt who's now in Austria. She actually sent these over a year ago but I just don't have anything special to wear 'em so this was it's first public debut. Haha! The whole outfit costed me around like only $20 or Php800 aside from the shoes of course. It was really cheap right? It's a good thing that I'm not really picky and so much of a brand whore when it comes to clothes or else it'll cost me ten folds.

The party was really worth to remember. They played couple of games that many really did enjoyed. Remember I said "they" because I'm not the type to join games even when forced. Haha! And I was not feeling so well that day too so I didn't bother joining the games. Also, the food tastes nice too. It's just the place that is sooo damn irritating! Haha! And the music? It was so much better than last year and they even hire a production team like crew, it comes with kick ass light and sound system. Actually, it kinda brought back memories when I as in college. To me, the whole party felt like some production number for a major subject with all the lights and sounds going on. Speaking of production number, we won! Haha! The team rep danced. I was there the whole show so I witnessed all the performing team and this is with no bias just because it's my team but they did really well! I was really surprised that the guys in our team can dance like that! Haha! Too bad I don't have any video of the performance but I'll just try to look and pirate if one of them has a copy.

So moving forward, after the dinner, a couple of appreciation we given to some teachers and the raffle thinggy was there too but I wasn't picked out. I got a bad number this year. Haha! The party ended like around 9PM, I think. But they let us danced of an hour. Haha! Showing my *ehem!* talent in dancing, I danced with my team mates as we celebrate our team victory. I also danced with other people that I know too.

Okay, so say no more to waiting; here are some of the pictures that I have snapped as promise. Enjoy! :)

This night sky, make city lights shine like diamond. Nice right? :)

Vonn, working on the violin just before their prod number.

 Chillin with the babes. lol

Arvhic playin something like the Phantom of the Opera with out the mask but like I care tho. Haha! XD Funny, 'cause my cam is set to anti-red eye but his eyes are red here. It only shows that, he's just that of a demon. lol

Party's venue! The hottest place in December. lol

The dancing Champs. Haha!

Teaching the no dancing talent person Arvhic a couple of grooves. lol

Oh yeah! Work it! Dirty dancing with 'em ladies.

Both Cindy-baby and I are dead tire but still, looking good. Raarr! XD

Of course, the day won't end just by that. After this one, me and my girlfriend, Alice headed out to our bff's place and there the after party begins there.

Actually we were suppose to go clubbing this day but well, you know that young girls with strict dads drama? Yeah, we're like that; so to make up for that, we just decided to do another intimate drinking session at out bff's place. We practically grew up in that place. We always hold our parties there or just like anything.

We drank, rhum-cola with a twist of lime as suggested by our "dad". Even tho we really don't feel like drinking that, we're more of a pine-gin kind of girls. But he kept telling us, "you girls just don't know it, it's the same drink that you receive when you go clubbing" So we ended up trying it. Personally speaking, it took me by surprise. "Hmm.. Tastes great" I murmur.

Mixing the lime in my rhum-cola drink. Some good stuff this is! :)

 My girls, Alice and Michelle.

Mich and Me.

Holla! lol

Please, please load. Haha!

Want some more? Haha!

Lazy drinking. Haha!

And the whole night we just plugged the dvd on the whole night. We did the Twilight Saga marathon. Haha! 'Cause my home girl Michelle haven't watch it so we did a small favor for her.  And we even managed to finish the whole thing too but sadly in the middle of the night, we ran out of lime so we replaced it with pomelo juice, it tastes good too!

What about you guys? How did you spend you weekend? Mine was you can see was cray! XD
Thanks for stopping by again. :)

ALERT! Fashion Dilemma

Hey guys. What up? It's been a while since I last posted something. First, I'd like to thank ya'll for all the love that you've been showing. I may not know who you are but dropping by my page means a lot to me, so THANK YOU once more. :)

So yeah, what's up? I'm good, thank you.

Oookay, well not so good. I've been sick for like a week now. I don't know what the heck's wrong with me but yeah, I'm not doing so well when it comes to health issues but I'm trying my very best to be okay, like always think of happy thoughts all the time so nothing to worry about guys. :)

I like shopping. VERY MUCH, and ya'll know that right? It's like a "traditional" trait that I inherit from my Auntie who's now in Austria. Whenever we're tired or super stressed out, we'd like hit the nearest mall and just be there until out feet sore to death. BUT I'm not the type to like buy clothes, I'm pretty much happy with what's in my closet and to tell the truth; some of my clothes are like in bags now 'cause they all won't fit in! I need a bigger closet now! Sigh. Also, I'm more on shoes, bags, accessories (well? sometimes, i guess), electronics kinda person.

And it's not that I don't like clothes. It's like, it's rather harder to find the perfect set of clothes that I would like to wear. And can I say it that it's not a priority? Not like shoes, I just roam around and ta-da! I easily fall in love and find the right pair for me, it's like destiny. *eyes twinkle with hearts* HAHAHAHA!

Yeah, so much of that. The thing is, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WEAR! *panic!* Yes! I really don't have a single idea what I want to wear this coming Saturday, it's for the company party by the way. Sigh. I've googled countless of celebrity fashion that I think would suit my flavor and style but then again, it's rather hard to find the perfect set that I like! :(

And the scary part of this too is the "DRESS TO IMPRESS" concept that they issued this year, I'm more like the "Dress to Depress" side of it. Haha! I really enjoy seeing my colleagues in their not so everyday (ah? yeah?) outfit. It's like a mini fashion show for me. I like watching fashion shows too 'cause of the models of course. Hahaha! But never did I pay much attention looking at clothes.

I'm never REALLY the type to go glam, doll up, fashion conscious person. I'm pretty comfortable wearing nothing but short, baggy shirts and those kick ass sneakers for everywhere and anytime and probably every time too. But then again, I try to pretty it up once in a blue moon for super duper special events like debuts, weddings what else are special events? Haha! Yeah, something like that.

Yeah, I've googled some and so far these are the once that caught my attention. First is, Kristen Stewart the emotionless actress. Haha! I like her style, really. She wears things that are so comfortable not like other celebrities that are really flashy and stuff.

I want to do that sided braid but the problem is, I don't know how to do it. My sister who's a whole lot girly than me won't be home to go it for me. So, that's another problem to remember. The next is the jackets, it's really nice to sport something like white, gray and black but the thing is, they told us that the venue for the party isn't that cold so cross that on the list too. Next is the V-neck shirt, I think this is kinda've cute. Also, I was thinking of pairing it with on of my new kicks that I've bought last August I think but I couldn't find something similar as this. I remember that my late GranDaddy has one of this but it freaks me out having the thought that I'd wear one of his favorite shirts. Haha!

Up next if the "infamous" Kim Kardashian. This Kardashian babe is just like the typical rich Californian girl should be. It's "sky's the limit" kinda credit card. Oh! I so want to be her gal pal. Haha! As you know, she really is proud of her curves and would like to flash 'em everywhere and every time. So, paparazos be ready with your cams! LOL

Notice they are all in white? Yeah. I really like wearing white. It's looks really clean and elegant. Black too is nice but I don't want to be like some grinch, okay I know he's green but black isn't a Christmas color. So then again, I can't find a white blouse similar to this. The one I bought last week was red with a touch of white, same cut tho. SIGH. Fashion is soooo hard! I'm loosing hope. Haha!

So moving on. Couple of friends suggested to wear a dress. And I was like "You really serious about that?" Then again, I wear dresses if I feel like it and now's not that time. Also, I'll be attending some after party too, so I want to move freely that day, so I decided to be in jeans! And as for shoes? Ahhh..... I was suppose to be in doll shoes but I don't have time to look for one so I'll just see what I can wear.

Really! Fashion ain't my thing ever since. Good thing those celebs have their own stylists. Wish I have one of 'em too to help me with these matters. So yeah. I'm so open for suggestions guys. Help is needed! Hahaha!

Thank you for dropping by again. :)

Manga Review: Bakuman

Honestly, I'm not the type that reads a lot. I tend to easily get bored especially if the material is all nothing but texts and does not have a single picture at all. If I remember it correctly; when I was little, one of my Aunties always brings me home a book to read. Well, what can I say? I'm lazy. After looking at the first few pages I then start throwing it away and move on with TV. I grew up in front of the TV for all you know. But recently, I developed a habit of reading "manga". What are mangas again? Mangas are Japanese comic books.

So as ya'll know, I kinda got a little "addicted" in reading stuffs like these,  manly 'cause it runs my imagination to its wildest. Haha! I've read probably all sorts of manga genre. And of course, I too have certain favorites that I keep reading on and on and probably would suggest to read by other friends.

And it has been a two months since I finished reading Bakuman. I was just waiting for my friend at the mall so we can go to work together. I was really thinking of buying some magazines then so I dropped by at the bookstore. Seeing the price tags, I then came to a firm decision to read online instead, since I'm always in front of the computer and always online, and also (here comes the most important part) it doesn't cost me a single dime. Haha! And yes, I was browsing some comic books and saw a couple of my favorites like Bleach, Naruto, Nodame Cantabile, Soul Eater, Fairy Tail and a whole lot more. And I also saw Bakuman. So I jot it down on my phone so I won't forget it 'cause yes, I can easily forget petty things like these. :P

Bakuman Chapter 1 Manga Cover page, Mashiro Moritaka

Of course, like any other book readers do, I read the synopsis first before continue reading the whole thing. Yes, yes, yes, I'm kinda picky with manga too. Haha! As I read through it, it caught my attention, "Hmm?. This seems good. Might as well try it." I say. And it was well, not the best but it was nice.

Basically the story moves around two Junior High or Middle School students who dreamed of being Mangakas (Comic Artist). The story was a-okay. It has the ups and downs, happiness and sadness, laughter and tears. It's like a drama series in cartoon/anime version of how difficult yet happy life of those manga artist have.
DVD Cover Page. Mashiro Moritaka and Takagi Akito.

It was a really nice experience reading this book. I kinda learned from it too. It made me shed tears, it made me really curious and wanting me read more and more, made me think what's gonna happen next. It also made me laugh like crazy, 'cause some character are really hilarious. And it made me realize that I should value my friends more and more. It also made me believe in the power dreams. Hmmm? Dreams huh? I can't really say that I don't have dreams of my own but I think, I will just wait and see until I get to that point were I can say that "this is what I've dreamed for." I want things to be thrilling. I have my own ways of chasing my "unknown" dreams. *wink

Also there's a saying that I picked up while reading this and it got really stuck in my head. I'll just say it my way, It's really a wild world out there. You really don't know what will happen after every 5 seconds of your life. So you should at least have kick as qualities like Faith: that you believe that you can have it, Arrogance: think that you are better then all the others, Effort: work hard, its not like it's always given and Luck. Another one of my favorite is " Life is like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're going to get." said in the movie Forest Gump. Sigh. It's really nice to be inspired by things that you never thought that would give you these kinds of feelings. :)

Do read Bakuman if you have extra time with you. :)

I know it's kinda mushy but what are your dream?

You have any manga that you want me to review or just read?

Thanks a bunch! :)

Weekend Getaway

It's been a week since I last shared something and the negative vibes are eating me (again). Not so good Monday. Ask me why. Not because today is Monday (well, yeah?), it's just that.. I really don't feel well. I can't move much 'cause all the muscles in me are practically cramp, one wrong touch and I might break you neck! Haha! Just kidding. I miss playing soccer and I feel like all my limbs got stiff 'cause I don't have much time to work out 'cause I was kinda busy for the up coming holidays. Speaking of which, I was busy for two whole weekends now. Last week we celebrated my Dad's birthday and this week, me and my homies when on a road trip.

So yeah, the trip was really awesome tho we didn't do much aside from walking, endless photo shoots and laughing the whole time. It's like wherever you are as long as you are comfortable with the people you are hanging with feeling. And just like to getaway from the toxins that the main city gives you. Tell you the truth, I only had like about 3 hours of sleep (I guess?) before this trip. AND definitely not that I'm super excited (really now?) or what? I just didn't get to sleep well that night. Hahaha!

Morning came (Sunday), I got up really early prepped some snacks to bring and head out to my girl Michi's place to meet with the others. I also brought along my little brother, Nikko 'cause he said that he hasn't been there. And an hour later we head south. Destination: City of Tagaytay, Cavite, Philippines.

View from Tagaytay Highlands.

Tagaytay City is a very popular destinations 'cause the weather is not as hot as hell like in the main city where I live. As you can see in the picture above, it also has this really breath talking site, over looking the Taal Lake in Batangas, a very iconic view of the Philippine's Taal Volcano. Actually there are boat ride offers to go near the volcano but we didn't go, we just want to enjoy the place for free. Haha!

As we are traveling going there the movie Twilight kept us company. Our girl, Joan is the first person that I know that haven't seen that movie, ever. And she really is the real deal when it comes to that, good thing I bought along the CD that I just got the night before our trip and my brother played my ever so entertaining, amazing PSP all the way there. XD

My brother Nikko and my girl Joan and the emotionless, Bella Swan. Haha!

First stop is Nuvali. It's located at the province of Laguna still along the way to our destination, Tagaytay. It's a really nice place. Our "Dad" Tito Arnel visits the place very often and showed us a little, there you can shop, biking, eat or just ease your mind away from the city. There you can also see, well I think its a man made lagoon with huge amount of Koi Fish. After lurking around for an hour, we continued our way to Tagaytay. And like an hour and half we arrived at our destination.

First on the list was the ever famous People's Park or better known as the "Picnic Grove". The place has lots and lots of pine trees and just the typical forest place, somewhat like the Twilight (movie) forest scene that you can see. Haha! I too visit Tagaytay once in a while, the last time I was there was like around August 2010 (if my memory serve me right tho) for my Auntie's birthday celebration. Back then I tried the zip line. It was fun 'cause my Auntie was really freaked out. So this time, I let my lil bro have that experience too.

Oopsie... The picture are kinda small 'cause my cam's been program for Instagram like photos. Imma change it next time. :P

Next is lunch, I didn't eat anything that day yet tho we packed food enough for like an over night trip. Haha! I was really looking forward for lunch 'cause Tagaytay has that rather cold weather so eating hot dishes is the best. And I don't mean spicy by the words hot, boiling hot is what I meant by that. But we have to travel like 30 minutes away from the Picnic Grove just to get there. Also we have to wait for the very "slow" service as well.  But I guess, it's worth the waut. We ate at Green ATS Restautant, another favorite place of Tito Nel when he and his colleagues are there. We had the Bulalo (Knee cap) with filing, Tawilis (a fish that can only be seen in the province of Batangas), some stir fry veggies and Coconut juice and meat for dessert.

Like my y brother said that the food was awesome but the service kinda sucks. Okay, after stuffing our rather hungry stomachs we went for another long drive, spending our time at church named Caleruega. You can check Caleruega Church in Nasugbu, the  province of Batangas. The place has a tag line saying "Close to Nature, Closer to God". It's like a super good place to mediate and to recollect all your thoughts.

Stair way to heaven? Haha!

And after the church visit we head home. Still the installment movie New Moon of the Twilight Saga kept us really company in the middle of the head-aching traffic. BUT! This trip won't be complete without out personal favorites those "epic"jump shots that we really really love. So here are some of the crazy shots that my cam captured.

Left, is was an awesome timing that Janelle was underneath Nikko when I took this shot. Above, was out first shot, we were at Nuvali then. Below, was at the Caleruega church. Right, and my god-daughter Janelle was really cute here.

True! IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!

My weekend was another blasting moment that would be forever etched in my memory. Hey! What about yours, I'd like to hear your weekend story. :)

Thank for reading.
