Beatin' the Heat

Hey guys. Lately I've been lacking in sleep. As many as you know, I'm kinda suffering from insomnia. I only get like 3-5 hours of sleep everyday except weekend. Since I got all the time in the world over the weekend, I make sure that I get enough sleep to make up for the loss. But I am not here to talk about my sleepless days.

Since I'm a girl. Ah. Yes, I think I am one. Haha! Not many know what I am into boys stuff, like shoes, games, what else? Comic book and sports too. One of my all time favorites is basketball. And talk about it, I remember back when I was in college (Damn. Did I really have to sound that old? Haha!) (it's just a couple of year back actually) I got really, really into basketball that, there ain't a day passing by that I do not watch it. And I use to gamble some bets with my friends for call and text phone cards or like money, it depends on what I don't have tho. Haha! Yes, yes. NBA was a really nice source of income too. My favorite team back then was the Detroit Pistons.

Rasheed Wallace, Richard "Rip"  Hamilton, Ben "Big Ben" Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince and the unknown by me coach. Haha! But he sure lead the whole team to win this 2K03-04 Champ Cup

And damn they were one sick team I tell you! I don't know much about basketball tho but it sure is fun to watch. I personally liked the players themselves. Each player has this really amazing tight game, its like; they are playing for themselves but united, you get me? Okay, good. Less explaining to do. Haha! I don't know what's up with Kobe, Wade and James are up to back then but for me, they suck. Haha! Just kidding guys.

For sure, ya'll know what happened today in NBA history right? The Heat was really hoping for their 28 straight win but the Bulls got in the way. Like I was saying, I'm not much of a baller but reading history fact helps me a lot. I just learned that Lakers made an awesome 33 wins in a steak back in 1971-72 and I think that Heat was hoping but nooo.. Bulls said that they are too early to be a part of the hall of fame. Hahaha!

Tho, I didn't get to see the game ('coz I was watching the Wiz and Okc) I'm sure it was pretty epic. I actually learned the lost in facebook. When one of my colleague's son posted something like "Cry now Miami fans". After reading, others started posting too.

It was juts funny tho. The picture I mean. Heat's a pretty strong team but I never thought that they'd be "easily" beaten down by the Bulls, knowing that they played without their power house players, like Joakim Noah, Richard Hamilton and Marco Belinelli. And as we all know; Bulls' star guard, Derek Rose has yet to play since he's still in the process of recovering from his knee injury.

Damn. Now, I can't wait for the play offs. I hope DRose's back by then. And of course I want to see how mean these guys play in the hard court. Survivor of the fittest.  I won't be rooting for any teams until I see the quarter finals. Haha! This is really exciting!

What's your bet guys? Will Miami Heat still be this year's Champ? Or there'll be a new one. Hmmm... This really thrills me to the core. Haha!

Thank for swingin' by again!
Laters, baby! ^^

Oh? Rawr!!

Hey guys! Yes, yes, I am so sorry, I've been m.i.a'ing again. Haha! So how are you? I'm kinda stressed out and worried about my so far away Gram. Her daughter said that she was rushed in the hospital again. Sigh. Sometime it's just hard not to worry about old people, when they still think that their youth pars with kids these days. Geez.. So anyway, I'm not here to talk about my personal dramas. I'm here to share about my weekend heart break. Haha! Seriously, I was broken hearted over the weekend.

I may not look that sporty at all but I do love sports. For all you know I've played basketball, tennis, badminton, soccer and what so ever one way or another. There's this new sport that's really booming and it kinda drive people really crazy 'cause of the thrill the get. I'm pretty sure you know MMA or Mix Martial Arts.

I'm pretty sure ya'll know about what MMA is. I really like the MMA thrill, it's the best of all the martial arts world, it's a full on hand to hand combat sport where in you can use any kind of technique to kick your opponent's ass down. Actually, MMA's starting to get big here in the Philippines but I think it's still kinda indie underground sport like. I don't really know much fighters here too. And I'm not much of a fan too, the fight's cool but when the blood starts dripping that's when I skedaddle. I don't like blood! It scares the crap in me. Hemophobia? Well, not to the extent tho. I just don't like seeing people covered in blood. Eww. Totally disgusting! So anyway, tho I'm not much of a MMA fa, I just like the fighter named Mark Muñoz.

Oh c'mon now! Doesn't he looks so heavenly?! Haha! Yeah, he's my favorite MMA fighter. He too is a Filipino but he grew up in the States. Like I said, he's Mark Muñoz or better knows as "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" now, that's a badass name right there! He was here in the Philippines last weekend for the UFC tour but I wasn't able to see him. So I was pretty broken hearted.

Yes,  I supported him because he's a brother from another mother. I also like his passion for the Philippines, tho he grew up in a different country, he still chose to give pride to a place where he's not very familiar.

So yeah last weekend, I wasn't able to see him in person that made me real sad. Honestly, I've only seen him fight in documentaries so I was really excited to know that he's coming by there but yeah sad to say I didn't win passes to see him. BUT! Yes, the amazing but; there are rumors that he'll be figthing here for the Pinoy fans to see him. I would really want him to see fight. I'm going to look forward for that.

Hmmm... Seeing all this makes me feel like hitting the gym for some hand to hand muay thai combat. Haha! Uraaaaa!!! (sounds weird? eh?! that's how anime fight scene would sound.)

I did some shopping over the weekend too, to move on from the heartache. Haha! I've write something about my weekend shopping pretty soon. What about you guys, what happened over your weekend? I hope you too had a nice weekend.

I'm out. Forever, THANK YOU! :)

Awkward..

FRIDAY! Hooray! Haha! Hi guys. What up? I'm doing pretty fine but my shoulders aren't in their best state. I've been enduring this pain for quite some time now, I've consulted my doctor about it and said that I should take vitamins for the ligaments and stuff. If this won't do, I might go through a therapy and you know that I will not like that. Sigh.

So much for that tho. Oh! Yeah, I was suppose to talk about that moment when you see someone wearing the same style of clothes that you are in.

This calls for a "Who wore it best?" game. Yikes!

That really awkward moment when you see someone wearing the same clothes as you are really bugs me to death! I'm not much of a fashion enthusiast that likes to go glam more often or like to doll up when there's a party and stuff. I'm the kind of person who could wear anything that I think is so comfortable, I don't care if I look a little off as long as I can move freely. Most of the time when I go out with my friends I'll just wear shorts, flip flops or like sneakers and baggy clothes and my trusty bag pack of course and I go see my girls all pretty pretty in dresses and in stilettos, it's cool to see them in those and I too try it at times, I think? Ahh?? Yeah!

Okay so going back, last Tuesday I was wearing a pink checkered polo shirt and to my surprise my good buddy Arvhic too! He sporting a blue checked polo shirt and I was like "Damn. What was I thinking wearing this today?!" I never thought that I would have to go through with this kind of dilemma again and I was suppose to wear my floral blouse shirt. Sigh. No dramas and stuff I just felt awkward. Haha!

Also yesterday, I was wearing this black shirt that has a certain tag "Five.Ten.Ten" it symbolizes the election date here in the Philippines where Pres. Aquino won. That shirt was giving to me when I was still visiting one of my favorite radio jocks. And I was caught of guard again, I saw a dude in the office wearing the same damn thing! "Oh my good Lord! Sigh." So the whole time I was just wearing my hoodie just to conceal the same that I have. The real awkward part there is the tag date itself! If I were seen with him and would get the impression that it's like some anniversary stuff. But NO, it's not. It's a total mischief.

Actually I already know that I have an office-mate that has a same shirt as I am, so I am always hoping that he isn't wearing it the same day as I am.

Geez.. Of all the things, I just hate it when I have to face someone who's wearing the same thing as I am. It's just an issue for me. Haha! Hmmm?? Ohh? I want to know to what would celebs do if they're caught in this situation too. Haha! Wonder who wore it best? Feel free to express your thoughts guys. :)

Jaime King and Nicky Hilton

Is this a battle of the boy bands or outfit? Joe Jonas from the JoBros and Zayn Malik from One Direction

Katy Perry and Blake Lively

Whoa! Sibling wars? Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian

Hot Mom Megan Fox and Sweet heart Selena Gomez

Socialite Paris Hilton and Demi Lovato

What about you?
How would you feel or like do if you also be in this kind of situation?
A million thanks for reading guys. :)

Kick it!

Happy Hump Day! Haha! At first I was really puzzled why is it called "Hump Day Wednesday". And based on my research, the reason they call it like that is because; first, it is the mid day, meaning that one has made it "over the hump (dreaded Monday and Tuesday " towards the end of the week; second, it's also the best day to do EVERYTHING and last but not the least it's that today, Wednesday is best day to get laid!!! (ohhhh.. reaaallly now? Hmmmm..) Haha!

Okay, so I think Imma gonna let the third reason slip away. Haha! Reasons, one and two was kinda perfect to go with. Okay so today, (FINALLY!) I did my mom's errand BUT (of course) I forgot to do mine. Sigh. :( Okay, so skip with the drama and stuff, actually I was thinking of what to write about for today and lots of ideas came my way and one of the best is what happened to me over the weekend. 'Cause over the weekend, like I mention on my previous entry that I went out with my GMom and Aunt for shopping. We were at the mall and I dropped by at a store named DC.

Honestly, I've been wanting a pair of DC shoes ever since I laid eyes on it. Okay, so I was checking and looking for some good kick to swipe and buy; just out of the blue my Aunt goes "What? You buying cheap flat shoes and get some expensive rubber shoes AGAIN?! Stop it!" then walks out of the store. And I don't have the power to get mad at her! I just couldn't do anything but to sigh. *poker face* Actually, I want to answer her saying like "What the heck?! This is my money not yours. And talk for yourself! Like you have a room filled with shoes so don't go nagging about shoes on me!" But I didn't, 'cause I was never taught to raise my voice to elderly people. Sigh. But one day, I tell you. Imma gonna go get those shoes. And you guys are the first to know what I bought.

Okay, so moving on again. In relation to that I would like to share some of my shoes that I really fell in love in one look. Confession: Ever since I was a little girl, I am big fan of shoes not to mention some are in the pricey ranks of course. I don't mind much about the brand, it's like once I see it and I can hear it call my name, IMMA GONNA GO AND OWN IT!

 ZOO YORK'S BLACK MAMBA

SOMERVILLE BLCK/GREY/RED FROM ZOO YORK

It's not that I have a thing for Zoo York, I just like their style is so street and its really comfortable for me. Like I can pair it with any jeans or like shorts and/or skirts perhaps. But ZY is kind of expensive if you are the type to save tho. I got these for  low price actually. The price there was the previous one. Like I said before, I'm the type to save too so I'd go out for the things that are on sale instead of buying it a one time big time. It's all about practicality 'cause I'm no rock star that rolls with money all the time.

NIKE AIR

ADIDAS RUNNING SHOES

Nike and Adidas are good sports shoes too. I have my Fila at home too but that's only for playing badminton and tennis. Nike and Adidas has a vast of picks but some are quite expensive as well, you just need to look for the perfect one that would suit your style and budget.

Okay, so these are the few of my many (WOW!) shoe collection. Haha! Call me a shoe freak? And I'll just say "Suck it!" Haha! Actually I am waiting for another pair of shoes that I am so super crazy about! It's also an Adidas item. As I said, I'm not much  of a brand freak it just so happened that the nice ones carries a certain brand. I'm pretty sure ya'll heard about Jeremy Scott. He's one heck of a genius when it comes to designing! Well, of course that's just my opinion. Haha! I really like his shoe design tho. Starting from the teddy bear, the bones, especially the wings! Oh My God! The wings are so damn pretty amazing! It just saddens me that I couldn't get one 'cause it's on limited stocks. Sigh. BUT! With the help of my super SUPER EVER generous Aunt (of course, she's the sister of my bitchy Aunt who won't let me buy more shoes), she'll get me one; she said and I believe! :)

HAHAHAHAHA! Honestly, I so can't wait for these baby to come home to me.

What about you guys, what's your kind of thing?

Thanks for reading and HAPPY HUMPING! ROFL

To be or Not to be?

What's up guys? Sigh. It's been sometime since I had another entry. It's not that I'm lazy in writing "again" (Haha!), it's just I'm kinda busy working on my manga. Haha! Yes, you heard me right; I'm working on my own manga. A manga artist is called Mangaka 漫画家 in Japanese. As I've said before, a manga is not, not a fruit! Sigh! It is a Japanese versions of Comic books. As been said, ever since I was little, I grew up in front of the T.V. I watch tons and tons of cartoons in my entire life. But I never once wanted to be a manga artist. 'Cause you know why? Well, let's just say that I really suck at drawing!

I want to be a manga artist ever since I started reading manga too, like running 2 years, I'm not sure. It's just so amazing how can they (mangakas) keep the story even more interesting one chapter at a time. And how super duper the drawings can be?! Sigh. I feel said, only dreaming. Haha! But fear not! One of these days, just one of these days! I've be able to come up with my own, it may not be publish like a pro but I just want to have something interesting to brag. Harharhar!

The story that I'm making has some fusion. Fusion of Japanese base and English base. Okay, when I say English, I mean England like stories, during the time of Queen Victoria. Dude! Could you just imagine the characters wearing those kinds of clothes? Ohh! I get thrilled! Haha!

As I was saying, my story is a fusion of romance and battle manga. Actually a lot of manga that kind is very popular but I'm mixing some history in this one.

The story is being told by a somewhat high school student named, Nishimura Ryuujin. He's having dreams about some girl living in the time of yes, Queen Victoria. And he gets really annoyed because he has a feeling that he's somewhat responsibility for that girl. As the story goes on, if Ryuujin has some annoying pleasant dreams; the girl Kobayashi Miko is always having nightmares of her past life.

Yes guys, as much as possible I want to talk about the story but it's no where near complete so, I'll still work on it. As for the drawings, like I said I suck at it so I just asked some friends to draw it for me.

And yes! I have really high hopes for the drawing though I really suck at it big time. So guys, if you have any ideas, kindly share. Sigh. I am super excited to finish this!

Thanks for reading! :)

3rd World Champion

Are you ready to rumble?!

Yeah! That's how Michael Buffer puts it away. It's so cool when he opens for the main fight. Truth is, I'm not very keen with sports; as long as I know what is right and wrong, win or lose I'm totally good with it. Never was I the athlete type of person but I did try a lot of stuff like, badminton (I'm kinda good there but I'd still improve for sure), soccer (it's a tiring sport; I'm not very sure if I can keep up with the training tho), tennis (Oh! This is one of the best that I've tried so far), basketball (well, I can dribble but can't shoot well, practice tho) and volleyball (OMG! I so own this sport! Haha!)

So over the weekend (don't I just love weekend stories?), my dad was watching TV, boxing. Boxing is very big nowadays, specially if the fighters are so well known. So yes, the fight was between Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire (one handsome dude, if I must say. Haha!) from Talibon, Bohol, Philippines and Toshiaki "Speed King" Nishioka who's from Kakogawa, Hyogo, Japan.

Nonito Donaire and Toshiaki Nishioka

It sure was one bad ass fight tho. They are kinda' head to head tho. According to the data when it comes to height and reach, Nishioka can definitely dominate the fight. But NO. Haha! Filipinos are known to be short but this Nonito's one short but troublesome dude. I'm trying to be fair as much as I can here, honestly. I was never rooting for anybody, I just watch. This fight is so different form my point of understanding. Neither of them underestimated their opponents rather, they encouraged one other to have a good fight.

I enjoyed it, really. First few rounds, it was kind of boring 'cause they were very observant of each other but as the fight gets heated, Nishioka opens a little but gets back thrice as hard. Nonito moves a little, show what he's made of and goes for a point. The fight was kinda flashy, they are both known for speed but it all went down to whom has the most power.

Nishioka first fell down on the 6th round, but I wasn't very attentive while watching 'cause it was not my thing to watch boxing in the first place but he got back by hurting Nonito in the face (I think?).  Just like I mentioned earlier as the fight gets heated they started to throw hard punches. And 9th round comes, YES! The super round, Nishioka was knocked down with a straight punch. I think, the reason for his defeat was his consciousness of Nonito's uppercut. Surely, everyone getting hit by it would definitely go down.

Nishioka tried hard to continue the fight but the Ref called its TKO. I have to give it to them for putting an awesome, awesome show for the fans. Tho Nishioka lost, he was one tough fighter.

The Philippines is not much of a rich country but I'm pretty confident of what we can do for us to be successful in one thing. I'm proud to be a Pinoy no matter what, good or bad just whatever.

Thank you for reading. :)

It's more fun in the Philippines!
